With years of experience bringing together words and people, Ylva’s newest hire Michelle Aguilar, a former journalist and teacher, knows how to find what makes every person, situation, and story uniquely interesting. We love that about her and are terribly excited for Michelle to officially join the Ylva team, so she can put that talent to work for us full-time.
And so we are pleased to announce that as of June 1, Michelle officially became Ylva’s Project Manager and Publicity Specialist. She will wear two hats at Ylva, but both will involve making us look even better to the outside world. As a project manager, she will be collaborating with the Ylva team through virtually every step of the publication process—from giving input on selecting new manuscripts to helping authors write their back cover blurbs. As a publicity specialist, she’ll be working to promote the Ylva brand, its authors, and initiatives to a larger audience, as well as creating regular content for our blog and the Ylva newsletter.
