This is a short story additional to Not-So-Straight-Sue.
Three years ago Sue proposed to Moni, but back then, same sex marriage wasn’t allowed. But since end of november 2017 it is possible, thanks to the 62% of Aussies who have voted YES.
According to this decision, Sue and Moni started to plan their wedding. They want just a simple
outback wedding at the Jayboro station, owned by their friends Felix and Josy. But they didn’t expext the involvement of Maisie, Sue’s mother. Soon they were overwhelmed by all the decisions
they have to make. Will they get their simple wedding? Or maybe, will there be a horse, who has some own plans with them?
It was great to be back with Sue and Moni in Mungabilly Creek and the outback of Australia. I love the Girl meets Girl series very much. Blue has a wonderful way to create her characters, the surroundings and the witty dialogues.
My rating 4,5stars for this funny read.
Thanks to Ylva for receiving an ARC for a honest review.

Finally Moni and Sue can get married. To write this story and make everything happen to have it published now right after the yes to same sex marriage in Australia, is already worth a 5 star rating. To come back to these characters and all their friends is a nice and funny reading.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story. While I love the cover, don’t let the image of a white wedding fool you. The actual wedding, and what Sue and Moni wore, is what made this story a classic for me.
I enjoyed revisiting some of the characters from previous books.
Flame, was as much a central character as the leading ladies. Horse lovers will be in horsey heaven!
Fave line… ’cause really, who can say this about their wedding venue? 🙂
“But having hothouse flowers driven halfway across the country doesn’t seem right. We’ll be at Jayboro. There’ll be dust and drooping gum trees, and horseshit and dogs.”
As always when picking up a book by Ylva Publishing, the editing is second to none.

This book was like coming home to old friends. Now that marriage equality has passed in Australia, Sue and Moni can start planning their wedding. What kind of wedding? Well, they want it simple and fuss-free but Mums tend to have a different ideas about these things. As the pair try to make sure they get the special day to their liking, friends and family converge on Mungabilly Creek and Felix and Josie’s place to help them celebrate. Their old friends Nora and Josephine come from London and Moni’s Texan clan make the trip to share in a long-awaited celebration of love. You don’t have to have read the previous three books to enjoy this one but I’m glad I have as there are so many wonderful characters I was glad to meet again. A lovely story about Australia coming through for the LGBT community. It was happy and joyful and I loved it.
I was given this ARC by Ylva Publishing in return for an honest review.

At last we have marriage equality in Australia! Cheyenne Blue has written a lovely story reflecting this milestone.
Having read the three previous books, it was great to catch up with the characters of Sue and Moni. Finding out what has happened to all in the meantime, what mischief the town and the locals have gotten up to, not to mention the ex’s and Sue and Moni’s plans for the future.
Small town outback Australia meets marriage equality – love it!
I received an arc copy in exchange for an honest review.

What can I say about this book? I loved it. I wish it could have been longer. But Blue wanted it out to coincide with the Australian vote legalizing gay marriage. So congratulations Australia and a wicked short from Blue.
I would advise you to read Not So Straight Sue so that you can get the back ground of these two characters. But honestly you don’t have too. The book is reasonably self contained and the focus is on the marriage. Blue’s writing can be extremely funny and she doesn’t let you down here either. Nothing ever seems to go as planned.
It’s a fun, light short story which I enjoyed immensely. I hope you do too. Enjoy!
