We at Ylva do what we do because we love it. Publishing books is fun–most of the time. And having someone from the outside appreciate what we are doing always gives us the extra boost for those days when it’s not about manuscripts but for example about bookkeeping. Mails from readers, new submissions, wonderful reviews…all that is great and provides us with the energy to face the computer screen on a daily basis.
And then, every once in a while, comes a day when you open your email and you get the little extra surprise. And no, I’m not talking about a once in a lifetime opportunity to help out a member of the royal family of a country you’ve never heard about. I’m talking about five of our books being finalists for the Golden Crown Literary Society awards.

When the Clock Strikes Thirteen by a bunch of great authors
Hot Line by Alison Grey
Fervent Charity by Paulette Callen
True Nature by Jae
For a small and young international publishing house like us, this is an unexpected honor.
Any of our readers who happen to be going to this conference might be interested to know that all nominated books and most of our other titles will be sold by Elisa Saphier from Another Read Through during the event.
And as Jae is going to be at the GCLS and at Elisa’s table, you have the rare chance of getting one of her books signed.

I can’t wait to get my copy of Jae’s books, and to finally meet her. Awesome writer.
I am honored to be one of the authors in the When the Clock Strikes Thirteen anthology. I’m sure I speak for all of us when I say how exciting it is to be a finalist.
Excellent news! 🙂
